Three New Woodcut Prints

These are my most recent prints. All are for sale, but would also enjoy any comments or critiques that you may have about them. The image size for each is the same, they have all been cut on Alder ply and they have all been printed in an original edition of 25. Each print is signed and numbered and double matted at 11" x 14". Only 25 matted prints are available, then the carved woodblock will be defaced, so no other prints can be made, and mounted in a special frame with a special "Artist's Proof" print. I finished cutting and then printed this proof last night. This is a 3 block cutting so it displays 4 tones. This time I mixed some Raw Umber into my greys and some Burnt Umber into the final black print. Since this is just a proof, I printed it on regular white bond paper. The image size is 5" x 7." I Used oil based black printing ink, but added Titanium White, Raw Umber and Burnt Umber oil paints for the different values in this. The three blocks that were carved for this print were 3/4 inch MDF. Jim

These last three woodcuts are all 5" x 7" printed with oil based ink using three blocks each to make the final print. "Soups' On," "The Vamp" and "Memories" have been printed in editions of 25.
